New Beginnings And New Endings
I recently read this
quote: "No one can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today
and make a new ending." (Unknown) I've been thinking about that statement as we
begin this New Year. I understand that we can never start over but we can begin
again right where we are and make things better in our lives.

New Year |
As a believer in Christ,
it is not about saying I will do this and I won't do that and by our own efforts
stop falling short. It is more about asking the Lord to help us each day to fall
deeper and deeper in love with Him till we begin to be totally convinced that it
is His power and Spirit within us that makes us more and more Christ like with
less and less desire for more stuff and position. If you are not sure you have
been "born again" into the family of God, do so now and make this New Year's Day
a fresh new beginning by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and
Lord. "And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD
shall be saved." (Acts 2:21)
If I were to make a New
Year's resolution today it would be to surrender more fully to His Presence
within and to allow a more complete love to spring forth in a deeper, more
intimate worship of God Himself. Hear the Lord God whisper in your spirit, "I am
more than enough, Beloved, more than enough in every area of your life."
How we will end this year will
be determined by how we start it. I am asking the Lord today to allow me to be
more intimate with Him as I wait in silence with the lover of my soul. Be my all
and all today, Lord, today. When distractions come enable me to say in my heart,
"With this I turn to You for comfort and strength to overcome by the love You
have for me!"
Your New Year
resolutions may or may not be accomplished but be assured that turning to the
Lord Jesus will always make you stronger and more complete in who you really
are, the object of God's love. Each day will be sweeter as the year goes by and
the ending will be an extra bonus of holy living "in Christ."
The real ending for you
will be but a grand "New Beginning" when you hear the Lord of the Universe say, "Well, done, my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Beloved
of the Lord!"
